Job Available: Assistant Producer

(posted August 2016)

ASSISTANT PRODUCER needed for small production company, EGMP (Elena Greco Multimedia Productions).  Contact Elena Greco at egreco@elenagreco.com before September 1. EGMP is looking for an Assistant Producer for the 2016-17 season. The AP will be a partner to the Producer (Elena Greco), and will be someone who is aligned with the purpose and mission of the company (see the EGMP page). The AP might help with any aspect of the production of the shows as needed—they might brainstorm together with the Producer about possibilities for the future of the company, or, for example, share the tasks of corresponding with company personnel, creating the production schedule, setting up auditions or doing some research on a particular item. Their creative ideas will be always welcomed. It will be a compensated position, as are all of the roles in EGMP. Purpose. Producing a concert and overseeing a company is a large job. The current Producer (Elena Greco) also performs in the company and also works at other jobs. She needs some help! Also, sometimes two heads are better than one. Requirements. You have an agreeable and supportive nature, a sense of humor (essential to producing a show!) and reliability. You need not have worked on the concert or theater production side before, but in that case, you should be a performer who is acquainted with the various aspects of producing a concert or else quick to learn. You are a mature, experienced person who is quick to respond to communication. Most of the work can be done electronically via email and web, but you would need to be in Manhattan the day before and the day of each major concert (there will be two or three concerts each season). It would be ideal if you live in Manhattan or nearby, so that you can assist with outreach performances, but it is not an absolute requirement. Compensation. The fee will be based on experience and on whether you will be able to participate in all performances, i.e., whether you live in Manhattan. It will be reasonable but not extravagant (we are a small company with limited resources, looking to grow). The AP’s bio will be placed on the company roster web page, which is used for promotion on social media and online publications, so free publicity will be had (see EGMP Personnel). If the partnership works out well, I would be happy to offer references and referrals. I could also list the AP on my Singer’s web page, which is essentially an advertisement for professionals and products I endorse. In addition, the people involved in this company are all warm, friendly, fun and talented people, and the AP would get to see some great concerts! You might really like being a part of this innovative and warm company. Contact Elena Greco at egreco@elenagreco.com before September 1.
